How It Started

Growing up in the 90s, anime was hard to come by. Shows like Sailor Moon, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Cardcaptor Sakura weren’t just entertainment—they were a source of inspiration. I wanted to wear my love for anime, but finding clothing that reflected that passion wasn’t easy. Sure, there were licensed T-shirts with popular characters, but I craved something more—original designs that captured the essence of anime without being just another branded tee.

That frustration stayed with me. Even today, anime streetwear often revolves around familiar faces, but I wanted to create something different—art-driven apparel that speaks to fans on a deeper level. That’s where mz.universum comes in.
